Ahana has a dual approach to the work it undertakes:
a) Direct social intervention: where Ahana works directly with the vulnerable groups and tries to bring about change in the lives of community members – women, men and children.
b. Creating Sustainable Ecosystem:
i) Ahana is focused on creating knowledge and awareness around uses pertaining to life and livelihood of these vulnerable groups among various stakeholders.
ii) To network with other organizations working in the same area and create a pressure group for policy changes. The methods used to achieve these objectives are mainly webinars, seminars, network meetings, working papers, audio-visual documentation and exhibitions.
